So Thursday I was interviewed by Robert Moore for the International Writers Association Podcast.
This is the link to the interview.

http://iwaaudio.podomatic.com/entry/2016-01-24T20_49_18-08_00
I come on about into the podcast.
26 minute mark
I don’t want to listen to it. I have a deep hatred for the sound of my voice. I feel I sound like a 12 year old on crack. I also said amazing, awesome, and great way too many times. I kept telling myself to stop saying those words in my head only to blurt one of them out seconds later. I was laughing in my head every time I let one of those words slip.
Also I tried to mention as many people as I could but I know I missed so many. It was not done intentionally, and I’m sorry. In fact I don’t really remember what I said.
So here you go if you want to have a laugh at my expense. Or you can make it a drinking game. Take a shot when I say awesome amazing or great.

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.

Here's an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 2,800 times in 2015. If it were a cable car, it would take about 47 trips to carry that many people.

Who created earth?

Posted: December 12, 2015 in Uncategorized

Normally I don’t post things about touchy subjects. I’m not a fan of water, so rocking the boat doesn’t seem like a great idea. I also don’t like talking about the spawns because I want to protect the things. They ruined my body and took nine months to make. I don’t want to ever have to do that again. So keeping them safe from the internet seems like a must.
This story happened yesterday and I wanted to share it.
This post is not here for people to criticize my parenting (I do that enough myself) or say nasty things about my children. This was a special conversation and I wanted to share it with you.
C is 9 years old.
B will be 4 next month.
We are in the car going to school.

B…Mom, I was too small. I can’t remember who created earth.

Me…(fuuuuuuuccccckkkkkk. I am not ready for this conversation. It’s 8 am in the morning. I haven’t had coffee or brushed my hair. Maybe I can pretend I didn’t hear him.)

C…well B there are a lot of different explanations.

Me…(I’m going to keep quiet and see where this goes)

C…first you have the god explanation

B…who’s god?

C…he manages heaven.

B…the sky?

C…that’s what some people think. Then some Indian tribes think it was created by twin brothers battling. Other Indians have different stories. I think one was about a snake. Then some believe the big bang.

B…what’s that?

C… Where gasses collided and made the planet. We were tiny fish that evolved into what we are now.

B…oh, is that why I like water?

C…Maybe. But really, B I think you should believe whatever makes you happy and makes you a better person.

B…ok. Hey C what’s the name of your football team?

C…I don’t know. I will find out tomorrow at my first practice.

B…(his flag football team is the dolphins) I think you should be the whales

C…that’s a good one B.

That conversation was so amazing to me. To sit there and listen to the innocence between two brothers. Where they aren’t bogged down with beliefs of who is right or better. I can’t explain how proud I was of C for taking the initiative to help explain things to his baby brother and getting me off the hook of a very sticky conversation.

I’m sure this doesn’t sit right with some of you and for that I’m sorry, but to me there couldn’t have been a more perfect explanation.

TRANSPARENT…MY PARANORMAL ROMANCE

Posted: November 20, 2015 in Uncategorized

FINAL COVER Transparent

I don’t know if any of you are aware of this but I wrote a paranormal romance during labor day weekend. The cover might be a little misleading there is absolutely no horror in this book. It is a little romance book about a woman and her inherited ghost.

TRANSPARENT

Morley Rivers lived a quiet life until she brought home a portrait of a hottie from the 19th century.
Alexander Brynes had been cursed when his plea to a gypsy went horribly wrong. He was tethered to his portrait, unable to communicate with the people around him, until Morley came along.
Alexander is positive Morley is the key to break his curse. He wasn’t expecting her to break into his heart.
As the curse starts to crack Alexander sheds his invisible state while making his true feelings known.
If they succeed in breaking the spell, Alexander will be sent back to his time on Halloween allowing him to repair the damage his disappearance caused, but at the same time leaving a broken heart in his wake.

So going off my last post Mugshot of a Hymen Thief

I wanted to share another screwed up Joy story with you. I might lose some readers off of this one and that sucks, but it is a funny story. I know I’m not the only one who has crazy stories so let me share a weird story.

The summer after my senior year of high school, and right before I went into my first year of college, I met a lifeguard. He wasn’t the smartest guy, but he signed my best friend and I into the park every day all summer. We went out a couple times during the summer but when summer was over and park was closed we lost contact with each other. He was my rebound after the Hymen Thief. The HT left me heart broken. I thought he was the one, and at the time moving on didn’t seem possible. That summer I did a lot of growing up and finding out how to move on when life didn’t work out the way I wanted it to.

Well, let me change my statement we lost contact until the first day of my public speaking class . My lifeguard was the first person I saw when I walked in. It was super awkward and kind of fucked up. My teacher thought I was crazy when I couldn’t stop giggling as she went over the syllabus.

After that summer I was trying to find my way. I was lost, and that is actually how I ended up in Texas instead of staying in college. That is another story. I am writing this to let you laugh, not to get you down.

Flash-forward 12 some odd years.

I was reading on the couch and Undercover Boss was on T.V. I will not reveal which episode it was because I don’t need anyone Youtubing that shit. LOL

I heard his voice, and immediately knew it was him. During public speaking I heard him stumble over his speeches while the class cringed and the teacher seemed to have to stop herself from stopping him and giving him a hug. I lowered my book and asked J.M. if his name was ———. J.M. pressed rewind and sure enough his name was ———-. J.M. looked at me and asked how I knew his name, I then had to admit he was my lifeguard from a million years ago.

It was extremely embarrassing and J.M. will never let me live it down. Damn lifeguards they will come back and haunt you when you least expect it. Life is funny bringing people back in your life even if it is a glimpse of someone on t.v. With the last two posts I have published I am starting to see how far I have grown. My self-esteem still isn’t where it used to be but it is getting better. I think publishing has helped me a lot. I was so scared to put Breaking Faith out into the Kindle world. Afraid of what people would think about it and what they would think about me. There is truth in the abuse that I made Faith endure. Now that it is out and there is no turning back I am slowly getting my confidence back. I don’t know if I will ever be the girl that picked up a lifeguard just to get into a water park for free during the summer but I’m ok with that.

MUGSHOT OF A HYMEN THIEF

Posted: November 6, 2015 in Uncategorized

I debated telling this story and then decided to put it on the blog since I spewed this story to at least four or five massage patients.

As most of you know Ella Emerson is my best friend. We are trying to meet for the first time next year at a signing in Arizona. Even though we haven’t met we talk everyday through messaging.

The other day Ella was telling me about a book she was reading. She said it was really good and of course I wanted to download it on my Kindle. When I searched for it I realized I already had it on my Kindle. I explained to Ella I had a hard time getting into the story. She loved it for me I wasn’t able to get through the sample.

Anyways Ella was surprised I didn’t like it. I told her the premise of a 20 some odd year old girl selling her virginity online was silly to me. I don’t know the writing just didn’t grab me.

This is not verbatim. Some of the wording was removed to protect the other people involved.

Ella: I wish I would have auctioned off my virginity instead of giving it up to the guy I gave it to.

Me: Yeah, I guess I would have been better off.

Ella told me the details on giving hers up. I will not reveal that information because it was her story to tell.

Me: I was 18. He gave me a ring. I gave him my hymen and two weeks later he broke up with my ass.

Ella: Hold on let me find a picture of him.

Me: Yes, let me see if I can find a picture of mine.

Let me warn you. Do not Google the person you lost your virginity to. Just don’t do it.

The first picture that showed up was on Mugshots.com

Don’t search mugshots.com. Just don’t do it.

I took a screenshot and sent it to Ella. We laughed our freaking butts off. Seriously it was sad, and funny at the same time.

You can laugh. It’s ok. It was funny.

My bestie is giving her book away for free this weekend only. It is such a good book. If you agree leaving her a review would be amazing

People think I’m a ladies man. On the outside I look like your typical stud who is only out for sex, but there is more to me than just my rocker persona. Don’t get me wrong, I love to entertain the ladies with a grin to melt their panties, a body made for sin and fingers that can play a woman’s body like they play my bass guitar, but there’s more to me than what meets the eye. I come from a good, tight knit family who instilled in me to always go after what I wanted….

And I wanted her…
